Special Education Itinerant Services

Our special education teachers work with children ages birth – five. They instruct parents on techniques and activities designed to stimulate and encourage the growth and development of the child’s skills. Services can be provided at a pre-school, daycare or child’s home where special education teachers help them develop social, self-help and cognitive skills, often through the use of play. Special education teachers use various techniques to promote learning. Depending on the disability, teaching methods can include individualized instruction, problem-solving assignments, and small-group work.

Psychologist

Our psychologists evaluate the physiological, cognitive, and social development of children. They also assess the effectiveness of academic programs, prevention programs, behavior management procedures, and other services provided in the pre-school setting. They collaborate with teachers, parents, and school personnel to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments for all children.

Social Worker

Our social workers provide services to assist children and families when children exhibit delays in social and psychological skills. Using behavioral and social activities, our social workers help children achieve their therapy goals.

Transition Services

As a parent it can be frustrating when it’s necessary for your child to switch therapists as they transition to school. Advanced Therapy can offer you and your child continuity of therapy services based on your home district. Our staff provides both preschool and school based services, and therefore has the opportunity to follow a child’s development from birth through school age.
